Gold filled jewelry is suitable for frequent everyday wear and contains a substantially thicker layer of gold than traditional gold-plated jewelry.
However, exposure to chlorine, salt water, perfumes, harsh chemicals, and products with extreme pH levels may shorten the life and appearance of the material.
Although gold filled jewelry may be worn regularly, removing it before swimming, showering, entering hot tubs, or using harsh personal-care products will help preserve its appearance for longer.
