This listing is intended for the **development and sampling of a new custom design**. The pieces you receive from this listing should be considered **samples/prototypes and not a final production-ready product**.
Creating a completely new design is a process. While a design may look great on a digital mock-up, the first physical version allows us to see how the artwork actually translates into metal — including the size, proportions, fine details, openings, loops, strength, and how the piece cuts and finishes.
Because of this, **the first sample may not be perfect and may require adjustments before the design is ready for final production.** This is a normal part of developing a new custom piece.
### WHAT YOUR SAMPLE IS FOR
Your sample allows you to:
* See the design physically before placing a larger production order
* Evaluate the overall size and proportions
* Check small details and cutouts
* Test loop placement and functionality
* Determine whether any design changes are needed
* Make sure you are happy with the design before moving forward with production
### IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CUSTOM DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Please understand that purchasing this listing does **not guarantee that the first version will be the final version of the design**.
We will create the sample based on the artwork, information, and instructions provided to us. However, some design characteristics can only be evaluated after the piece has actually been produced.
Small details may need to be enlarged, simplified, repositioned, or otherwise adjusted. Certain artwork may also need modifications in order to work properly at jewelry scale.
The purpose of the sample is specifically to identify these types of issues **before a larger quantity is produced**.
Because these are developmental samples, we are not responsible for redesigning or correcting every design issue discovered after the first sample is produced as part of the original sample purchase. If additional design work, modifications, or additional physical samples are requested, additional charges may apply depending on the amount of work required.
We will always do our best to work with you and provide guidance throughout the process. Our goal is to help you develop a design that can ultimately be produced consistently and successfully.
### CUSTOM DESIGN PROCESS
1. Send us your artwork or design request.
2. Please provide a vector file whenever possible.
3. Let us know whether you would like:
* **1 loop — Charm**
* **2 loops — Connector**
4. We will prepare the design/mock-up based on the information provided.
5. Your sample pieces will be produced.
6. Once you receive them, you can evaluate the physical design and determine whether any additional changes are needed before placing a larger production order.
### CUSTOM SIZING
Custom pieces are generally approximately **4mm tall up to 20mm long**, depending on the design.
Because every custom design is different, exact dimensions cannot always be guaranteed until the design has been developed and tested.
### MINIMUMS
Custom requests may begin with a small sample quantity.
Logo designs may require a higher minimum depending on the complexity of the artwork.
Materials may be mixed when available. Please contact us if you need a specific combination of Sterling Silver and 14K Gold Filled.
### PLEASE REVIEW CAREFULLY BEFORE ORDERING
Custom samples are made specifically for you and production/design work may begin shortly after your order is placed. For this reason, **custom sample orders cannot be canceled, returned, or exchanged once design or production work has begun.**
